Witches, Wands, and Wanderers StoryBundle

The Witches, Wands, and Wanderers StoryBundle ends Nov. 3rd. A mix-up led to the wrong date being set for the bundle, so it was extended to correct that issue—giving you a chance to pick up the bundle if you haven't yet. That's twelve magical books available (if you pay at least $20). With over 350 bundles sold, I think it's possible that we could reach 500 sold before the sands of the hourglass stop. Readinary subscribers could push it over the top!

Works-in-Progress Update

Work-in-Progress cover for Shermmies' Planet by Ryan M. Williams

I'm making progress on the new cover illustration for Shermmies' Planet, a short first contact science fiction story. I'm blocking out major elements of the illustration, playing with shapes and silhouettes and the layout for this wrap-around cover. It's all subject to change at this point as I sketch out ideas. It's hard to resist the urge to dig into smaller and smaller details too fast—I did give in and add a touch of color. Most of that will come later. It isn't as if I have an actual plan. I'm playing and having fun.

READINARY is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

For the first time, I'm also recording the process and plan to edit those recordings into something intelligible and entertaining to share on my YouTube channel. You're welcome to subscribe—though there isn't any content yet. I'll definitely share my progress as we go and I think I can share a preview link with you before it goes public.

I also want to have the story available in e-book and paperback formats when the videos launch.

Book Recommendation

Cover art for The Colour of Magic by Terry Pratchett

I thought I'd have a spooky book to share—plenty haunting my shelves and e-readers right now. Instead, I wanted to share The Colour of Magic by Sir Terry Pratchett. I'd guess that many of you are familiar with his work? I discovered recently that Penguin Audio is releasing new audiobooks of the Discworld series. Narrated by Colin Morgan, with Peter Serafinowicz as the voice of Death, and Bill Nighy on Footnotes—I've enjoyed this fantastic and amusing romp across the Discworld.

I've moved on to The Light Fantastic and having a lot of fun. These are terrific audiobooks.

Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoyed this latest issue of READINARY. I'll be back soon with more stories, recommended books, and other thoughts.

You're all the trick-or-treat bag stuffed with my favorite dark chocolates that keeps this newsletter going.

Best wishes, always—Ryan
